00:01:35.670 --> 00:01:53.507
Hello everyone, this is Melinda Russell with the Women's Motorsports Network podcast, and my guest today is Ella Wu Heilman, and that's sweet.
00:01:53.507 --> 00:02:04.230
She just waved at all of you, so if you're listening to it, I'll just tell you she waved and said hi, she's such a sweet, sweet young girl and I'm excited to hear about her story in motorsports.
00:02:04.230 --> 00:02:16.681
But first, ella, I want to welcome you to the show and I would like you to share a little bit about yourself, your pets, what other sports you do, all those kinds of things that people want to know about you, yeah.
00:02:16.881 --> 00:02:18.743
I'm Ella, I'm 15.
00:02:18.743 --> 00:02:22.969
I live in the Pacific Northwest in Washington.
00:02:22.969 --> 00:02:26.915
I've been riding motorcycles for 13 years now.
00:02:26.915 --> 00:02:35.144
I've tried plenty of other sports like soccer and karate, but none of them have just called my name, unlike racing.
00:02:35.144 --> 00:02:41.722
And I have three pets right now and I just got out of school and life's been great.
00:02:42.604 --> 00:02:43.806
So you're out for the summer.
00:02:44.368 --> 00:02:48.844
Yes, I just got out two days ago actually.
00:02:48.925 --> 00:02:51.430
Oh wow, so you guys go a long time then.
00:02:51.890 --> 00:02:54.540
Yeah, we had a lot of power outage days.
00:02:54.641 --> 00:02:57.486
So, make those up.
00:02:57.486 --> 00:02:59.371
And then, when do you start school?
00:02:59.371 --> 00:03:00.813
After Labor Day or before?
00:03:01.620 --> 00:03:04.006
I start school in the middle of August.
00:03:04.287 --> 00:03:07.320
Oh yeah, so that was a long, a long year, wasn't it?
00:03:07.681 --> 00:03:08.965
Yeah, very long.
00:03:09.145 --> 00:03:12.360
Yeah, it's going to be a short summer, so you got to make the most of it for sure.
00:03:12.360 --> 00:03:21.965
So you're 15 years old and you've been riding motorcycles for 13 years, so you started as a little tiny girl.
00:03:22.387 --> 00:03:23.250
Yes, I did.
00:03:23.692 --> 00:03:24.955
Wow, so we'll get it.
00:03:24.955 --> 00:03:26.241
We'll get into that a little more.
00:03:26.241 --> 00:03:27.522
You have three pets.
00:03:27.522 --> 00:03:28.806
What kind of pets do you have?
00:03:29.366 --> 00:03:31.631
I have two cats and one dog.
00:03:31.631 --> 00:03:36.306
I'm a big cat lover, I would say, but I also do like my dogs.
00:03:36.326 --> 00:03:39.753
Okay, all right, and do you have any siblings?
00:03:40.539 --> 00:03:40.961
I don't.
00:03:40.961 --> 00:03:42.121
I am an only child.
00:03:42.382 --> 00:03:45.183
Okay, all right, so there's nothing wrong with that.
00:03:45.584 --> 00:03:46.905
Get all your mom's attention.
00:03:46.944 --> 00:03:49.807
Right, that's great For sure.
00:03:49.807 --> 00:03:58.394
So, ella, tell me, how did you get interested at two years old, to ride motorcycles, and now you're involved in motorsports.
00:03:59.314 --> 00:04:05.247
My dad had grew up in eastern Washington and around there it's all farms and all of that.
00:04:05.247 --> 00:04:15.824
So he grew up riding ATVs and dirt bikes and tractors and all that and he loved riding dirt bikes all the time and it continued with him into his adult years.
00:04:15.824 --> 00:04:28.963
And then I came along and he wanted to put that passion towards me and, you know, really set me up to know learning how to drive in the future and how learning of dirt bike or a motorcycle may help with that.
00:04:28.963 --> 00:04:40.341
And I started off, you know, riding around in like little fields on like a little PW 50 and him just learning me and then eventually going to, you know, dirt tracks and stuff like that.
00:04:40.762 --> 00:04:43.817
Yeah, yeah, and it just gets in your blood, doesn't it?
00:04:43.817 --> 00:04:46.858
You go to the track and then you're Dad.
00:04:46.858 --> 00:04:48.423
When are we going back to the track?
00:04:48.423 --> 00:04:51.016
I can hear you saying that to him for sure, yeah.
00:04:51.016 --> 00:04:55.788
So, ella, what's your favorite thing about being involved in motorsports?
00:04:56.694 --> 00:04:57.375
The community.
00:04:57.375 --> 00:04:59.620
The community is so strong.
00:04:59.620 --> 00:05:12.310
You learn so much from other people and other people's experiences and you know it's lovely finding other people that really love the same passion as you and it just creates this.
00:05:12.310 --> 00:05:19.437
You know strong bond with people that you can't find you know in everyday life like I have friends in school and stuff like that.
00:05:19.437 --> 00:05:32.678
But that bond is way different than the bond I have with people who race, and you know I also I'm a big adrenaline junkie, so the adrenaline that comes with it is also like you can't find that anywhere else either.
00:05:33.319 --> 00:05:44.059
No, that's true, and you know I often ask kids how their classmates or friends you know when they're off doing something else on the weekend and you're like no, I can't, I'm racing.
00:05:44.059 --> 00:05:52.723
They don't get it, but but it's such, if you're passionate about racing, you're not going to miss racing to go to the movie.
00:05:52.723 --> 00:05:56.237
I'm sorry, you can watch it on TV later or whatever.
00:05:56.237 --> 00:05:59.002
You can't redo the race, and so that's.
00:05:59.002 --> 00:06:12.839
That's something that I think a lot of people who are not involved in mother sports don't understand about all of us that are, because we are serious about not missing out on whatever it might be that we can watch or be a part of for sure.
00:06:13.440 --> 00:06:13.841
Yeah.
00:06:14.302 --> 00:06:15.826
So tell me, what do you race?
00:06:15.826 --> 00:06:16.723
How you know?
00:06:16.723 --> 00:06:17.795
What did you get started?
00:06:17.795 --> 00:06:21.083
You got started on little 50 CC, you said so.
00:06:21.083 --> 00:06:22.627
Where have you gone from there?
00:06:23.574 --> 00:06:38.019
Well, I, the biggest bike I race right now is a kawasaki ninja 400, which is way bigger than a 50 oh yeah but I've gone from, you know, in the beginning to rate, only racing dirt.
00:06:38.120 --> 00:06:40.663
I hadn't touched a street bike or anything like that.
00:06:40.663 --> 00:06:54.627
So in my dirt days I was racing 125s and little 85s and then COVID hit and every track in America shut down, so pretty much yeah, very limited.
00:06:54.627 --> 00:06:57.278
So I only rode like little trails and then that was it.
00:06:57.278 --> 00:07:17.108
And then my dad had brought up you know, supermoto and riding on tracks because he had gone to a couple of track days with bigger bikes like that and he wanted to get me involved in that because I hadn't touched a bike at all during COVID and he wanted to regain confidence and start riding again.
00:07:17.108 --> 00:07:31.425
So I picked up a YCF 125 and that got shipped and me and my dad built it up and then I soon got comfortable on that bike and then started on a Honda 150.
00:07:31.425 --> 00:07:32.947
And that's what I race in supermoto.
00:07:32.947 --> 00:07:36.002
And now I'm involved with Wimra.
00:07:36.002 --> 00:07:38.867
So now I'm racing a Kawasaki Ninja 400.
00:07:39.394 --> 00:07:41.939
Wow, you went from a 150 to a 400.
00:07:41.939 --> 00:07:45.026
Yeah, that's a big, that's a big jump.
00:07:45.026 --> 00:07:49.805
Um, what was the hardest thing for you to overcome when you jumped to the 400?
00:07:51.355 --> 00:07:53.119
I was really hard on myself.
00:07:53.119 --> 00:08:16.898
You know, I didn't think I was gonna get it or I wasn't gonna use that bike to a full potential right away, because I was so used to a 150 and growing up in those classes and still being from an amateur class, going up to a novice class and then advanced class, and I just thought I wasn't capable of doing it.
00:08:16.898 --> 00:08:38.904
And you know, being out there with the older people on this way bigger bike because I was out with older people on the 150 but the bigger bikes is just so different well, they're heavier for one thing, yeah, and you don't look like a very big girl, so it probably outweighs you by several hundred pounds yes, it does.
00:08:39.044 --> 00:08:48.918
yeah, and I just thought, you know I had to gain this confidence to being on it, just sitting on it, and I've only been on it a couple of times.
00:08:48.918 --> 00:08:55.250
You know school's held me back a little bit, but I just have to keep telling myself you know I'm going to get there.
00:08:55.250 --> 00:08:58.701
I haven't been on it a lot of times but it's.
00:08:58.701 --> 00:09:09.360
It will come to me like it came, like how my 150 did so that's all I can tell myself yeah, and it's just gaining confidence and seat time and it'll all get there.
00:09:09.421 --> 00:09:10.984
For sure is.
00:09:10.984 --> 00:09:15.879
Is motorcycle racing something that you think you want to do for a long time?
00:09:16.500 --> 00:09:17.302
you for sure.
00:09:17.302 --> 00:09:19.347
I don't think I'll ever let it go.
00:09:19.347 --> 00:09:20.977
I think it will always be there with me.
00:09:20.998 --> 00:09:24.167
I figured, figured as much because you're you.
00:09:24.167 --> 00:09:28.066
Just your smile is from ear to ear when you talk about it, for sure.
00:09:28.066 --> 00:09:37.083
So do you work on the bike or does somebody else work on it, or does it really need much work in between the races?
00:09:38.736 --> 00:09:45.724
My dad has definitely restored a couple of bikes other than our race bikes, so he's got some knowledge in that.
00:09:45.724 --> 00:09:57.522
But I think some of our race prep he's definitely Wimra is very like stingy on what you need to have on the bike and what you can't have on the bike.
00:09:57.522 --> 00:10:04.989
So he's read the list of things top to bottom and made sure you know I have what I need to have.
00:10:04.989 --> 00:10:06.155
So he's worked on that.
00:10:06.155 --> 00:10:08.981
And then some other big, big projects.
00:10:08.981 --> 00:10:21.879
We take it to Two Wheel Dino Works, which is a shop out in Washington, but other than that all of our bikes stay in our little little garage and you know, have some time to work on it.
00:10:21.879 --> 00:10:25.048
My dad teaches me some things and I'm able to learn.
00:10:25.048 --> 00:10:31.458
You know what goes on in the bike, not just you know riding it, but you know knowing what I need to do.
00:10:31.879 --> 00:10:35.488
Yeah, how it works, how it makes, how it makes everything go for sure.
00:10:35.488 --> 00:10:41.725
Yeah, so you go to school, you um.
00:10:41.926 --> 00:10:48.134
are you involved in any other activities at school, Mm hmm, you, are you involved in any other activities at school?
00:10:48.134 --> 00:10:57.356
Um I, this was only my freshman year that I finished, so I was mainly focused on testing the waters.
00:10:57.376 --> 00:10:58.639
You know school and getting everything figured out.
00:10:58.639 --> 00:11:00.160
Yeah, and that's a big deal to get into high school, isn't it?
00:11:00.221 --> 00:11:00.881
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there's a.
00:11:00.881 --> 00:11:01.062
It's a.
00:11:01.062 --> 00:11:04.625
It's a big change from being the eighth grader.
00:11:04.625 --> 00:11:16.017
That's like you're the oldest ones and then you get to high school and now you're the youngest ones and then you know, kids grow a lot in those four years.
00:11:16.017 --> 00:11:16.878
So there's a lot of age difference between.
00:11:16.878 --> 00:11:19.601
So you know and you're busy, you have friends and you do things.
00:11:19.601 --> 00:11:21.965
How do you take care of Ella?
00:11:21.965 --> 00:11:25.470
How do you make sure that Ella sleeps good, eats good?
00:11:33.254 --> 00:11:36.057
gets her homework done, does all the things that she needs to do.
00:11:36.057 --> 00:11:36.899
I really put my school work first.
00:11:36.899 --> 00:11:37.500
I think Sometimes I miss.
00:11:37.500 --> 00:11:39.542
I do miss out on races that I really want to go to, like last week.
00:11:39.542 --> 00:11:47.350
To Like last week I had my finals all going on and I did have to miss a big race and I had to.
00:11:47.350 --> 00:11:54.796
My dad did have to text people.
00:11:54.816 --> 00:12:10.881
You know I won't be showing up for, you know, the third time in a row because school had just put so much on me and so many tests and so many big projects, and I think for me school is a big deal and I want to achieve good grades for college and all of that.
00:12:10.881 --> 00:12:23.467
So I do make sure my homework is done and out of the way and I'm prepared for stuff and I do bring, when I have the chance, homework to the track or track days, and I do that after I'm done racing.
00:12:23.467 --> 00:12:27.418
So there's not really any me time.
00:12:27.418 --> 00:12:34.389
Sometimes I'll race three weekends in a row and it's just so much going on.
00:12:34.389 --> 00:12:42.561
And then I also try to put friends there also because I know those are my big supporters as well and so I try to find time for them as well.
00:12:42.561 --> 00:12:50.365
But you know, during I think breaks, when I have spring break or winter break, I really try to put myself first.
00:12:50.365 --> 00:12:51.727
You know, take a day to relax.
00:12:51.727 --> 00:12:55.741
So right now I've been silent and relaxing.
00:12:56.143 --> 00:12:58.167
Good, good, you need that.
00:12:58.167 --> 00:13:00.437
Everybody needs some downtime, for sure.
00:13:00.437 --> 00:13:04.404
So everybody has bad days at the track.
00:13:04.404 --> 00:13:05.307
That's a given.
00:13:05.307 --> 00:13:07.900
Everybody I talk to, they all say, yep, that's true.
00:13:07.900 --> 00:13:16.086
So when you have a bad day at the track, whether it be something you did or somebody else did, or the bike's not running right, how do you handle that?
00:13:16.086 --> 00:13:17.697
Do you throw things?
00:13:17.697 --> 00:13:19.481
Do you go to the hauler and you cry?
00:13:19.481 --> 00:13:21.366
How do you handle that?
00:13:22.155 --> 00:13:42.902
There's been some times where you 100 degrees out, I'm over it, lock myself in the trailer, lay down with the bikes in the trailer and you know, cry it out sometimes I go to my parents, you know, we talk it out and we say, hey, maybe this is a sign you do need a break and let's just take that off, and yeah.
00:13:42.902 --> 00:13:49.764
So we cancel some races and I, just I sit there and I reflect on what what is really happening.
00:13:49.804 --> 00:13:51.349
We're a family that's big on, you know.
00:13:51.349 --> 00:13:53.780
Let's find out what's making you feel this way.
00:13:53.780 --> 00:13:56.225
So I think that's a big part.
00:13:56.225 --> 00:14:09.759
When it comes to me being frustrated, I do get frustrated very easily, I think, and I've been very aware of it, and I've been trying to, you know, really be more aware of it.
00:14:10.000 --> 00:14:20.677
I tell myself you know, oh, I'm aware of my emotions, but I'm definitely trying to put more effort into that because it shows how it affects my racing and people around me.
00:14:20.677 --> 00:14:23.083
So that's a big thing.
00:14:23.083 --> 00:14:25.327
So I'm trying not to lock myself in the trailer anymore.
00:14:25.327 --> 00:14:31.727
I'm trying to take it all out on the track and talk about it.
00:14:31.727 --> 00:14:33.039
So that's what I do.
00:14:33.562 --> 00:14:40.008
You know, racing teaches so many things that are what I call life lessons.
00:14:40.008 --> 00:14:46.197
I talked to a lot of young girls and I talked to a lot of older women too, and they say the same thing.
00:14:46.197 --> 00:14:55.082
You know, I had a lady, she was in her forties and she said until I started racing, I didn't deal with adversity very well.
00:14:55.082 --> 00:14:56.927
I was an introvert.
00:14:56.927 --> 00:14:58.370
Now I'm an extrovert.
00:14:58.370 --> 00:14:59.596
All these different things.
00:14:59.596 --> 00:15:04.062
You know that racing has helped her overcome some challenges, things you know that racing has helped her overcome some challenges.
00:15:04.062 --> 00:15:08.307
Whereas she said if I wasn't involved in racing, I don't know where I'd be.
00:15:08.307 --> 00:15:10.831
I'm going to ask you I know you're 15.
00:15:10.831 --> 00:15:17.357
So you know you've got a lot of years ahead of you yet.
00:15:17.357 --> 00:15:18.399
But has there been anything that you can say?
00:15:18.399 --> 00:15:22.250
If it wasn't for racing, this would not have happened or I wouldn't be where I am today.
00:15:24.815 --> 00:15:27.923
Yeah, if it wasn't for racing, you know, I definitely wouldn't be as active as I am today.
00:15:27.923 --> 00:15:45.606
I I don't think I would have met as many people as I do and, you know, gained communication skills along the way because, as you know, a little kid I was extroverted and I did do stuff outside of school.
00:15:45.606 --> 00:15:56.020
But you know, racing, you know, really helped me be more extroverted and want to talk to more people and you know, it was a great conversation starter, just racing, you know.
00:15:56.020 --> 00:16:11.576
Yeah, I think it's great on all aspects, you know, taking people out of their shell and I love meeting new people, I love gaining new friends, you know, who seem introverted and making them extroverted Like that's such a fun thing to do.
00:16:12.096 --> 00:16:12.999
Yeah, for sure.
00:16:12.999 --> 00:16:14.743
That's so true.
00:16:14.743 --> 00:16:17.589
So let's, let's pretend today's race day.
00:16:17.589 --> 00:16:23.436
You get up, you probably have breakfast or whatever, but do you do you have a routine, do you like?
00:16:23.436 --> 00:16:27.567
I always have McDonald's for breakfast on the way to the track.
00:16:27.567 --> 00:16:31.807
I always wear the same socks when I race, whatever it might be.
00:16:31.807 --> 00:16:35.946
Do you have anything like that going on when it's race day at your house?
00:16:38.115 --> 00:16:41.855
I'm waking up by my dad every single time I forget to set an alarm.
00:16:41.855 --> 00:16:43.581
You know I never know when we're leaving.
00:16:43.581 --> 00:16:59.566
Yeah, he wakes me up, I turn the music on and I pack you know what I forgot to pack the night before and I help my mom get all the food into the RV and you know, help.
00:16:59.566 --> 00:17:05.645
A big thing I do is help back up the trailer, because some people have big problems with that.
00:17:05.645 --> 00:17:08.344
I'm great to have it done first try.
00:17:08.344 --> 00:17:20.967
So I really focus on that when getting ready so we can just leave and I sit in the back of the trailer and I put my headphones on and I kind of just zone out.
00:17:20.967 --> 00:17:27.176
You know, listen to what I need to listen to and maybe stop at Starbucks on the way.
00:17:27.176 --> 00:17:33.917
Starbucks is essential, yeah, and then we show up to the track, sign in and that's it.
00:17:33.917 --> 00:17:36.242
And then I walk in and that's.
00:17:36.242 --> 00:17:37.405
That's the rest.
00:17:37.405 --> 00:17:38.047
That's how it starts.
00:17:38.587 --> 00:17:45.641
Yeah, is there any kind of track food that's your favorite, Like when you go to the track you're like, oh, I always have to have this have this.
00:17:45.661 --> 00:17:46.541
I a big thing.
00:17:46.541 --> 00:17:48.305
That's a big thing for me.
00:17:48.305 --> 00:17:52.132
Well, it's not eating on during lunches.
00:17:52.132 --> 00:17:56.318
You know, I don't eat during racing at all.
00:17:56.318 --> 00:17:58.781
I don't know what it is for me.
00:17:58.781 --> 00:18:08.057
It's not like a big set routine, it's more of like oh, I just don't want to eat, but I don't eat lunches at all.
00:18:08.057 --> 00:18:12.905
I need to be finished with all of my races before I want to eat.
00:18:12.905 --> 00:18:14.628
I don't know what it is.
00:18:14.628 --> 00:18:20.346
I think it's just, you know, all the adrenaline that's going and it just doesn't feel like eating.
00:18:20.346 --> 00:18:33.195
Or you know, I've had things where I do eat lunch and then I like end up like feeling like I'm going to throw up, like it's time, so I don't eat until I'm done with races.
00:18:33.317 --> 00:18:35.000
But you know, what that's the norm.
00:18:35.000 --> 00:18:38.145
Yeah, most girls I talk to that race.
00:18:38.145 --> 00:18:46.037
They might have a little snack or something, but they do not eat any kind of a meal or a sandwich or anything until they're done.
00:18:46.037 --> 00:18:48.863
So you're right there among the normal, for sure.
00:18:48.863 --> 00:18:51.248
Yeah, that's, that's pretty typical.
00:18:51.248 --> 00:19:04.883
So, um, if a mom came up to you and, and maybe your mom or dad at the track and her little girl had been watching you and and they said, you know, my little girl wants to be like Ella, how do you get started racing?
00:19:04.883 --> 00:19:09.935
What would you say to them and would you encourage them to get involved in motorsports?
00:19:11.138 --> 00:19:16.796
I tell everybody, no matter the gender, no matter the age, you know, always get into motorsports.
00:19:16.796 --> 00:19:35.497
There are risk factors, but those factors don't really matter when you're out there and you know you're having fun and doing what you love to do, like this is what some people spend their lives on, because this is truly what they love to do.
00:19:35.497 --> 00:20:01.778
And I think getting started is, you know, learning how to ride a bike and then getting that little 50 or a stasic or anything, and going out to a field or going out on some trails, and you know just learning how the bike works and not committing a hundred percent until you try it, and you know you're going to fall in love with the sport deeper and deeper as you go.
00:20:02.319 --> 00:20:05.346
Yeah, exactly, and and there's.
00:20:05.426 --> 00:20:18.155
you know, nowadays we're so lucky we can Google just about anything and you can Google, you know closest place to practice motorcycle, you know all those things, and so I always encourage people that you know.
00:20:18.155 --> 00:20:21.159
If you don't know where to go, google.
00:20:21.159 --> 00:20:23.762
And then go to the track on track day and talk to people.
00:20:23.762 --> 00:20:28.189
Yeah, everybody, everybody's going to encourage you to join and be part of it.
00:20:28.189 --> 00:20:32.902
So that's something that I I always like to tell people to do, to do as well.
00:20:32.902 --> 00:20:38.503
Now, are there a lot of girls that race motorcycles against you, or are you pretty much the minority?
00:20:39.567 --> 00:20:44.405
um, I think in supermoto I've met a handful of girls I would say five other girls that I've raced Supermoto.
00:20:44.405 --> 00:20:56.823
I've met a handful of girls I would say five other girls that I've raced Supermoto for five-ish years but you know, going into the bigger bikes I've definitely met a bunch of other women, but you know girls my age.
00:20:56.823 --> 00:21:01.959
It's just hard finding girls my age that are doing what I do.
00:21:01.979 --> 00:21:03.161
And.
00:21:03.682 --> 00:21:17.595
I think that really limits to me who I talk to, because I'm more comfortable, you know, talking to women or talking to girls my age, because this is what I grew up in school doing and it's definitely put me out of my comfort zone.
00:21:17.595 --> 00:21:21.638
To talk to older men or talk to dudes, I'm racing, and that's I would say I'm a minority.
00:21:21.638 --> 00:21:25.482
Or talk to dudes, I'm racing, I would say I'm a minority, definitely when it comes to racing.
00:21:25.482 --> 00:21:30.747
I've been racing men in their 40s and early 20s and stuff like that.
00:21:30.747 --> 00:21:34.891
It's definitely a difference in everything.
00:21:38.894 --> 00:21:41.034
Do they make you feel welcome, though, or do they just not pay any attention to you?
00:21:41.034 --> 00:21:45.006
Or do they race you differently because you're a girl?
00:21:47.775 --> 00:21:53.147
There's definitely some different vibes they give off when they talk to me or when they race to me.
00:21:53.147 --> 00:22:00.035
They're not talking like how they do to their buddies or anything like that, but I would say they race me, they race me the same.
00:22:00.035 --> 00:22:07.257
They don't guess that because I'm a girl, I'm going to, you know, be all over the track and race't guess that because I'm a girl, I'm gonna, you know, be all over the track and race differently.
00:22:07.257 --> 00:22:09.803
No, I, I keep up with them.
00:22:09.803 --> 00:22:13.678
There's been times where I've beaten them and stuff like that.
00:22:13.678 --> 00:22:14.318
So they don't.
00:22:14.318 --> 00:22:26.509
I know they're giving their 100% on the track because they want that medal or they want that pole, and I think you know I've tried to put that 100% on the track with them to show them.
00:22:26.509 --> 00:22:31.086
You know, this is what I can do too, and I can do your same hundred percent.
00:22:31.654 --> 00:22:32.557
Yeah, that's good.
00:22:32.557 --> 00:22:56.021
I think things have gotten better as far as a woman being treated more equal at the track, because there's so many more out there now that are doing it, and even if you're, even if there's still only maybe four or five of you racing against 20 guys um, there used to be none or one, and so now they're accepting it way more than they used to for sure.
00:22:56.644 --> 00:23:08.546
So, do you have somebody that you look up to as far as, somebody that races motorcycles or that you follow, that you're kind of like, you know, or maybe somebody you've met that you really like, that you follow.
