Show Notes 9-2-2021

NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Racer Angie McBride Smith

Angie McBride Smith married into the family of racing. She started out as an Outlaw Pro Street racer with no wheelie bar and in 7 seconds went nearly 200 mph. She is the only girl to win a championship in this series.

As of this recording (August 31, 2021) she is 6th in points and one round out of 3rd or 4th. Points are tight but making the top 10 will allow her to compete for the championship when the points all get reset.

Her family loves what she does…NOW…but at first they were nervous. He dad is behind her 150%. He texts her every day at the track to race fast and be safe.

The next 3 races are in Indy, and the season ends in Ponoma and then the PRI show. When she is not racing she is very into fitness and works out every day. They also go snowmobiling in Eagle River in Michigan or a few spots in WI; she like to snowboard; she runs a very active schedule. She gets up at 4am every day to get her day going.

She hopes that a little girl will hear or see this interview and be inspired that they can do this too!
