At just 10 years old, Sadie Parsons from Winter Haven, Florida, is already making a name for herself in the world of motorsports. Racing runs in her blood — both of her parents were go-kart drivers who met at the track, and her younger brother is now racing too. Sadie got her first taste of competition at age five and hasn’t looked back since.
From Go-Karts to Crown Vics
Sadie began in champ karts, quickly moving to flat karts on dirt before stepping into Bandoleros and Legend Cars. By 2024, she was adding Crown Vics to her growing list of rides. While she still enjoys karting, she admits she prefers the challenge of cars like the Crown Vic and Legend:
“I feel like the Crown Vic’s the funnest, but the Legend car is definitely the fastest.”
Her ability to adapt between different vehicles sets her apart and makes her one of the most versatile young drivers on the track today.
Championships and Proud Moments
In one incredible season, Sadie captured five championships across multiple divisions, including:
· WKA Junior 2
· Junior 1A & 1B
· Auburndale Bandolero Championship
· Citrus County Speedway Championship
She also swept the Winter Showdown Series in her Legend Car this February, adding to an already impressive trophy collection that’s quickly filling her home.
More Than Just Racing
What makes Sadie special goes beyond her victories. She works hands-on with her cars — tearing down and rebuilding everything from go-karts to Bandoleros. She’s learning the mechanical side of racing early, giving her an edge most kids her age don’t have.
When she’s not at the track, Sadie is homeschooled, which allows her to balance schoolwork with racing and her other passion: gymnastics. She trains twice a week and competes as a Level 4 gymnast.
Racing with Faith and Purpose
Sadie is open about her faith, giving credit to God for her abilities and opportunities:
“God gives us all different talents and abilities, and I’m happy mine is something I love to do. I couldn’t do any of this without Him.”
Her goal is clear — she wants to climb the racing ladder all the way to NASCAR. With her determination, talent, and faith, there’s little doubt she’s on the right path.
Advice for Future Racers
If a young girl came up to her at the track, Sadie says she’d encourage her to start in go-karts or Bandoleros, and reminds others that hard work is the key to success:
“If you put in the work and you want to do it, you can.”
